In 2011 Lucas Estevan Soares, a 21-year-old filmmaker, decided to embark on the craziest journey of his life. Alone, with low budget and just one camera, he traveled to 27 countries capturing moments and creating stories. The initiative became an exhibition of 7 short films entitled Independent Roads. It received invitations to be shown at film festivals, universities and alternative venues in Europe, Africa and Latin America, where Lucas had the opportunity to share his films and exchange experiences linked to independent cinema.
